Research

Hepatitis C virus (HCV), Zika virus and Dengue virus are single-stranded positive-sense RNA viruses within the Flaviviridae family.  To promote each step in the infectious cycle these viruses subvert numerous host cell factors. We are interested in how HCV, Zika virus and Dengue virus interface with different RNA metabolism pathways.  By understanding virus-host interactions our research may lead to the identification of new antiviral targets and therapies.
